Quote Gallery
A quote archive transformed into a cinematic digital experience, with a clear visual hierarchy and a smoother path from reading to engaging.
The challenge
Quote Gallery started as an archive: a growing collection of quotes with no stage to stand on. Everything was reachable, nothing was memorable. The collection needed a presentation layer that treats a quote the way a gallery treats a painting, while keeping browsing fast for people who came to dig.
The approach
I designed the reading experience first. Each quote gets a full-attention view with typography doing the heavy lifting: large, patient type, deliberate pacing, and motion that hands one line to the reader at a time. Around that core sits the archive itself, with clear hierarchy, filtering, and a path from any quote to its neighbours.
The build is Nuxt with GSAP-driven motion, tuned so the cinematic layer never gets in the way of the archive layer. Animations respect reduced-motion preferences, and every view is server-rendered and indexable.
The outcome
The archive became a destination rather than a database. Visitors linger on single quotes, the collection reads as curated instead of stored, and the path from reading to sharing or exploring further is one step shorter than before.
